Rebrand, visual identity, brand guidelines and social media templates
Overview
I was commissioned by Design Kind to work on this rebrand for The Women's Centre Cornwall. The project had to be taken on with great sensitivity and understanding due to the nature of the work the charity does. It was a huge collaboration effort between me, Design Kind and the charity, making sure the team and community who use the centre had their say. The process took quite a while to reach its end product, but through listening and responding to feedback a truly beautiful and thoughtful brand was created for a fantastic charity.

The project consisted of a rebrand of the logo and visual identity, with new colour palettes, fonts, styling, graphic embellishments and guidance for social media template designs. All executed in thorough brand guidelines that the team could take with them for the future.
The logo design is full of imagery that reflects the uniqueness and values of The Women's Centre Cornwall and all the amazing women who form the community.

The pebble imagery was an important visual to include, as pebbles reflect a connection to the Earth and nature, where so many of the women and girls they support find peace and comfort. Pebbles are often used in their support services - by painting them and throwing them into the sea, they are passed around circles while they speak and are placed outside the support rooms when a session is taking place.

The overlapping stone and lines show the connection to each other as women, whilst also embedding the strength and grounding the pebbles have.
The result
The new branding for The Women's Centre Cornwall reflects the charity much more deeply than the previous design. It feels warm and inviting and reinforces the service you will receive from them. The development of the brand guide and templates gives the staff the tools and knowhow to go forward and create designs that are sensitive but impactful to their community. The design work was also brilliantly executed to their website by Design Kind to further extend the visual language.
