Overview

Nest is an 'instazine' featuring beautiful, clever family homes, with plenty of inspiring ideas for modern kid-friendly spaces that will last for years to come.

I was contact by Charlotte Luxford to help design a brand and website that would showcase what she and Sophie were building and link up to their Instagram platform where their content is shared.

The design

Both Charlotte and Sophie were keen for the aesthetic of Nest to have a Scandi feel, which we achieved through it's simplicity, fonts and colours. We collaborated together quite closely to get the logomark just right before I worked on their website. Created in Wix, the design didn't need to be complicated as their main platform is Instagram and their SubStack newsletter, and Wix gives them the flexibility to keep their site up to date without the knowledge of web development. However, I was able to create a site design that fulfilled their brief in terms of aesthetic, marrying beautiful imagery together with simple, bold typography and some textures.

"

We commissioned Charlotte to design branding and a website for our new company start-up and we couldn’t be more pleased with the finished outcome. From the get-go Charlotte listened to our brief, taking the time to understand our needs, preferences and end-goal, adding her valuable experience and insight along the way. The whole process was very easy and we were impressed by her professionalism, responsiveness and flexibility throughout the process. The end result is more than we could have hoped for – we would highly recommend Charlotte Young at Copper Moth to anyone!
