Branding and visual identity and icon creation
Overview
Danielle approached me to help her with the branding of her new marketing business venture she was embarking on. She wanted to create a clear brand identity that captured South Coast Marketing’s brand personality, which she described as exciting, bold, empowering, trustworthy and personable. All whilst appealing to her ideal audience - small, local businesses along the South Coast communities in Sussex.
With so many ideas on the table, it was my job to work closely with Danielle to unpack them to create exactly the branding she had dreamed of for her business. For this project the final outputs were the logo suite, colour and typography along with a set of illustrative icons Danielle could then use to embellish her designs.
The design
The design exploration throughout leant on coastal themes and hand rendered elements to really hone in Danielle's authenticity and desire to include the sea into the compositions.
A set of secondary, tertiary and abbreviated logos also gave her the flexibility to adjust her branding based on the design output.
With such a vast palette of colours, I made sure that I looked at best practice for text accessibility and gave her the breakdowns on a style sheet so that going forward she would have the knowledge to generate her own designs with confidence.
A set of icons where also created in a complimentary aesthetic, using a sketchy hand drawn approach to represent the SoCo Marketing values and services.

I am so happy and grateful I stumbled across Copper Moth Design in my search for a local graphic designer for my new business. Charlotte turned all my jumbled design and branding ideas into one captivating, cohesive brand. The entire process from start to finish was not only seamless but also lots of fun, thanks to her imaginative approach. SoCo Marketing Collective now embodies my branding dreams, all thanks to Charlotte!

The result
With a brand suite of logos, colours and typefaces along with the library of icons, Danielle had all the assets to go ahead to update her website (which she did herself in Squarespace) in the style she had dreamed of with cohesion for her business.
